Boulevard Tech is hiring AI-native legal professionals (i.e. legal students, lawyers, researchers and doctoral candidates) to work at the dynamic intersection of law, regulation, economics and policy.
This opportunity is designed for students in the final stage of their studies, early-career lawyers as well as researchers and PhD candidates who want to understand – and actively participate in – how AI is reshaping legal knowledge, regulatory systems, markets and public policy.
💻 What you will work on
Your work will focus on sector-specific regulation and policy, potentially across several areas, including:
Competition policy, state aid and market design
Regulated industries (eg. energy, telecoms, media, transport, gambling, alcohol, finance)
EU law, public law and institutional decision-making
The interaction between law, economics and public policy
AI law, digital regulation and AI governance
You will work hands-on with:
AI-assisted legal, regulatory and policy research
Structuring legal, economic and policy knowledge for AI systems
Analysis of regulatory decisions, markets and governance models
Development of AI-native workflows for legal and policy analysis
🧠 Why this role is different
This is not a traditional trainee or research assistant role.

⏱️ Practicalities
Preferably full-time roles, but possible flexibility around studies.
Start date: mid-March to April - exact timing is flexible and can be adapted to your studies or research commitments.
Suitable for: master’s students nearing graduation, early-career lawyers, researchers and doctoral candidates.
Location: Helsinki, with hybrid flexibility. At least part of the work or traineeship must be completed in Finland. If you are based abroad, we can assist with relocation and housing arrangements.
Working language: English (Finnish not mandatory). We are particularly interested in French-, German- and Spanish-speaking candidates.
